French foreign minister, Yves Le Drian opened the event, considered as the first large-scale exhibition by a major western museum inside Iran.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The exhibition is consisted of some 50 artworks, from Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, France, and Germany, including an Egyptian sphinx, a bust of the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, two Iranian ancient artifacts from Chogha Zanbil and Lorestan, along with drawings by western artists including Rembrandt and Delacroix. The works date back from 7k years up to 19th century, from western Asia to central and southern Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cRelations between France and Iran are old and profound because France was a pioneer of archaeological exploration\u201d, stated Jean-Luc Martinez, the Louvre\u2019s director.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">National Museum\u2019s Dean, Jebrael Nokandeh says \u201cSuch shows reinforces the museums, help make people notice foreigner cultures and history; since higher cultural recognition lowers prejudice and empowers the Dialogue among Civilizations.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Gilgamesh International highly recommends the show.
